Graduate GROW Programme

Our GROW graduate programme is a structured 3-year programme, designed to support your development with a core curriculum of training, including both virtual and face-to-face sessions. As you navigate the early stages of your career, our GROW  programme will complement the technical experience and knowledge you acquire in your specific role, helping you to connect and grow your network from the very beginning with our welcome event and continue to develop your people-focused skills, cultivate a commercial mindset and develop leadership abilities.

Here is a roadmap of your 3 year development journey on the GROW graduate programme:

You will be empowered to take charge of your career from day 1 and we will ensure that you gain valuable experiences from the projects and clients you work with, helping you acquire the skills needed for success and to work towards professional accreditation in our chosen field such as RICS, APM, ICE, IMechE, RIBA, CIEEM and CIBSE  with the support and guidance of industry leading mentors within Arcadis.

Our Engineers are given the opportunity to specialise within their chosen field of engineering from day one. Whether you will be working on connected mobility solutions, helping co-create sustainable and resilient cities or building smart infrastructure solutions you will be given the hands-on experience and support you need to become a technical expert.


We have a range of opportunities in Engineering across a wide range of sectors, including Rail, Highways, Water and Energy for engineers looking to specialise in Civil Engineering, Structural/Bridge Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geospatial and Flood Risk Management.

Our project managers work in diverse teams, supporting the organisation of the world’s largest, most complex and iconic programmes of work within the built and natural environment. As a project manager, you will be responsible for monitoring the progress of project work, liaising with clients, implementing timely resolutions to problems and identifying risks in delivery of projects.

 

Our Project Managers work across a range of sectors, including Rail, Highways and Transportation, Energy, Property, Defence, Government and Water Management. Project Management is a huge area for us, with the opportunity to specialise in both project management and project controls.

 

We are open to most degrees within project management, with a preference for those with construction or engineering focuses as our Project Managers work closely with our technical teams and need to be able to understand and translate technical aspects into their work.

Our Specialist and Science graduates are focussed on projects concerned with protecting our environment and water resources as well as powering our world for future generations. You will specialise in your chosen field from day one, working on projects which contribute to keeping business, communities and our world in the healthiest, safest condition possible.

 

We have a wide range of opportunities in this area including, Environmental Assessment & Planning, Land Quality, Ecology, Cultural Heritage, Air Quality, Acoustics, Landscape Architecture, Construction Safety, Fire Safety, Sustainability Advisory and Safety Risk Management.

Application Process

We have two intakes of graduates every year and open for applications in September, for start dates in April and September. We recommend early applications as we review on a first come first serve basis.

Step 1
Apply Online

You’ll apply for your chosen programme online through our website. You’ll be required to submit an up-to-date CV.

Step 2
Online Behavioural Assessment

You’ll complete a series of tasks across various levels in an interactive assessment that will capture how you respond to challenges, approach problems, deal with ambiguity, and manage uncertainty. Complete a demo of the assessment here: Arctic Shores – Demo Task

Step 3
Assessment Centre

You will attend a half-day assessment activity where you will have the opportunity to network with current Graduates or Apprentices to learn more about our programmes. You will also take part in a group activity.

Step 4
Interview

The final interview is made up of two parts. Firstly, we will assess your competencies, behaviours, and suitability for the position. Part two focuses on your technical knowledge.
